This pillar assesses the extent to which residents, tourists and businesses are exposed to security risks within a country. It measures general safety and security conditions; it is neither a survey exclusively of international visitors nor the overall ranking for tourism development.

What Vietnam’s Safety and Security Ranking Means for International Travellers

Planning a first visit to a country often begins with practical questions: where to go, how to get around, which services to choose and what to arrange before departure. Alongside scenery, culture and cost, information about safety helps travellers make informed decisions.

According to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, Vietnam rose 18 places in Safety and Security compared with 2024. In the overall TTDI 2026 ranking, the country placed 52nd out of 110 economies, an improvement of seven positions.

These results provide additional context for visitors considering Vietnam. Preparing for an individual trip still involves choosing suitable operators, checking what a booking includes and following local guidance throughout the journey.

Discovering Vietnam at Your Own Pace

A visit to Vietnam can bring together city walks, local food, cultural discoveries and time in nature. For travellers exploring the north, a stay on Lan Ha Bay offers an opportunity to slow down between other stops on the itinerary.

From the cruise deck, limestone islands unfold across the water. A kayak or traditional bamboo boat brings the scenery closer, revealing rock faces and cave openings near the water’s edge. Staying overnight allows time to watch the evening light change and wake up to another view of the bay.

For international visitors looking to combine sightseeing with relaxation, a clearly organised cruise programme can make planning more straightforward. Travellers can choose a duration that fits their wider journey and discuss accommodation, dining preferences and activities before departure.

Experience Lan Ha Bay with Azura Cruise

Azura Cruise offers 2 days 1 night and 3 days 2 nights journeys, combining excursions on Lan Ha Bay with time to unwind aboard.

The published programmes include the Dark and Bright Cave area and Ao Ech on both itineraries. The three-day journey also features Viet Hai Village and the Ba Trai Dao area, adding opportunities to explore the island and spend time by the sea. Stops, excursion order and activities are confirmed for each departure and remain subject to weather and operating conditions.

Back aboard, guests can retreat to a cabin with a private balcony, dine at Auréa Dining or relax beside the four-season infinity pool on Deck 3. Time between excursions gives the journey a balance of exploration and rest.

On arrival, the Azura team introduces the programme and provides a safety briefing. Guests are encouraged to share dietary requirements, room preferences and any assistance needs before departure so the team can prepare accordingly.

Vietnam’s strong performance in Safety and Security provides a positive starting point for international travellers considering the country. From there, choosing the destinations and experiences that suit your interests helps turn a travel plan into a personal and memorable journey.
